This Waltz is also often called “The minute Waltz”. This title was given by Chopin’s Publisher, as he had found it was a very short piece.
However this title was not ever given by Chopin who didn’t like it.
Chopin himself called it the “Waltz of the little dog”, as he meant to describe a dog spinning around, trying to catch its tail.
